About this site

This site is an attempt to bringt together the manifold aspects of my work. In the same way as daseinslaborant is an anagram of my name, the projects here are a mixture of ideas from my professional work, self-taught audio production and music performances and human creativity.

Music

In my mad scientist drummer performance, I am touring as a one-man band and use my drum kit to interact with sequencers and sythesizers. My music is a danceable mixture of jazz, electronica and post-rock. You can find my albums on my Berlin-based indie label beeah–music, Bandcamp and Spotify. I am also part of the duos Arnold+Sukroso and Arnold/Schwer, as well as the bands The Need, The Benja Men and Boulette Deluxe.

Professional

In my professional work as AI Architect, I drive innovation at the intersections between creative human thinking, information retrieval and agentic AI. I have over 10 years of experience in language AI research and over 7 years of professional experience in data product management and team leadership. I am passionate about communication, compelling user experience and data-driven business models and bring excellent organizational skills and deep understanding of technical and functional aspects.

Reserach

I have been a researcher at DATEXIS at Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin. I graduated from Université de Fribourg, Switzerland with a Ph.D. in 2020 at eXascale Infolab and with a M.Sc. in Computer Science at DIMA, Technische Universität Berlin in 2014. I have worked on Deep Learning technologies to enable neural machine reading for domain-specific text resources, search intention detection, named entity linking, topic classification and text segmentation. I am one of the main developers of the information extraction framework TeXoo, the factual search engine GoOLAP and the interactive TASTY (Tag-as-you-type) editor.
