(This is a translated repost of Sonntagsmusik: Sebastian Arnold - Mixtape 2009 on Progolog.de, who contacted me in 2019 after I pointed out on Twitter that I had started producing yearly mixtapes a decade ago.)
In 2009, friends of mine opened the Multilayerladen at Kotti in Berlin. What a trip down memory lane! There was an arcade jukebox I built myself, our concert series “Bring Your Own Whole New Perspective,” and every Wednesday, the “vehement dynamic hangout” was celebrated at the workbench. We played songs for each other from our iPods – and the best ones, of course, ended up on this mixtape.
