Mixtape 2014

(This is a translated repost of Sonntagsmusik: Sebastian Arnold - Mixtape 2014 on Progolog.de, who contacted me in 2019 after I pointed out on Twitter that I had started producing yearly mixtapes a decade ago.)

2014 was another great year with lots of concerts all over Germany. We planned a tour featuring two solo acts: Robin Sukroso (Acpad guitar) and Sebastian Arnold (drums/synthesizer). As part of our promotion, we recorded a joint single and a video in which we played all our instruments in a cornfield while wearing colorful costumes in multiple variations. It was pretty weird, but it went over so well that our agency promised the clubs we’d play the track together as an encore—in costume, of course. It was spectacular. On the third night, we just played the entire show as Arnold+Sukroso and stuck with that concept for the rest of the year. From that tour, I’ve brought back many memories, encounters, and even a song or two in this mixtape.
