(This is a translated repost of Sonntagsmusik: Sebastian Arnold - Mixtape 20017 on Progolog.de, who contacted me in 2019 after I pointed out on Twitter that I had started producing yearly mixtapes a decade ago.)
In 2017, the mixtape suddenly comes to a halt. Not like a tape recorder that’s run out of power – but more like an airplane that, while on the runway, decides it actually quite likes its home airport. The perspective shifts to the first person, the sound becomes denser and calmer, and the context weaves together old friends and new discoveries. And from here onwards, the music speaks for itself...
