(This is a translated repost of Sonntagsmusik: Sebastian Arnold - Mixtape 2012 on Progolog.de, who contacted me in 2019 after I pointed out on Twitter that I had started producing yearly mixtapes a decade ago.)
2012 sounds like a road movie. I drove through Romania with my drum kit in the trunk, to many German festivals with a tent and sleeping bag, and through the Netherlands with Bart Constant. My new album was all about a trip into space – with a synthesizer, who would’ve thought! On this mixtape, we first work our way through some complex science fiction, and then the journey begins at the 24-minute mark.
