12 years ago I started to make a mixtape of my favourite songs every end of the year. The series has been published Progolog Sonntagsmusik and brought us through the unexpected pandemic year with one article every month. Today I'm happy to share my latest 2021 edition in the same blog series on year later: Adventskalender 2021 - Tag 17: Sebastian Arnold - Mixtape 2021.
2021 kept us going in waves, and it brought back the concerts and performances, this time happening in our living rooms and gardens, or as online video productions. It also brought us many recordings that had been shifted to smaller home studio setups, creating more imperfect results, but also detailed and calm soundscapes. Looking back at my musical year reveals many new discoveries and maybe a somewhat different style than the last years.
